The thrill of the hunt returns in 2025 with the 16th Annual Great Northwest Glass Quest, a unique 10-day treasure hunt for hand-blown glass balls across Camano Island and Stanwood, Washington! Organized by the Camano Island Chamber of Commerce, this exciting event brings together families, adventurers, and treasure seekers from all over. Whether you’re a seasoned Quester or a first-time participant, here are some things you need to know to make your Quest a success.

- Check the Event Dates – The 2025 Quest runs from Friday, February 14th, to Sunday, February 23rd.
- Plan Your Route – Businesses and parks across Stanwood and Camano Island hide clue balls. Check the app for locations!
What is a Clue Ball?
A clue ball is a clear, 3-inch plastic ball that may be camouflaged but will always have a visible clear section. If you find one, congratulations—you’re one step closer to your TREASURE: a Limited-Edition Hand-Blown Glass Ball! Inside the clue ball, you’ll find a slip of paper with instructions on how to claim your prize.
Rules for a Successful Quest
- Be Respectful – Businesses have generously opened their doors for Questers. Follow their rules and enjoy your visit.
- No Asking About Clue Ball Status – Embrace the thrill of the hunt! Businesses are not allowed to disclose if a clue ball has been found.
- Look, Don’t Touch – Clue balls are always visible without moving merchandise or disturbing nature.
- Move On If Needed – If you haven’t found a clue ball in 15-20 minutes, try another location and return later.
- Limit One Treasure Per Person Per Year – Enjoy the hunt but share the fun!

Limited-Edition Certificated Glass Balls are only available to find. However, Non-Certificated Glass Balls can be purchased at select locations while supplies last. Two Non-Certified Glass Balls will be available as drawing prizes at our RE/MAX Elevate Camano Island office.
